Special dietary requirements are catered for individually. We offer an extensive drinks package to either serve your drinks (no corkage charge) or drinks sold on consumption by ourselves and from our extensive menu and knowledge we can advise the perfect food and wine pairings by complementing your occasion with drinks from reception through to after dinner. We can offer further theming and decor ideas and can quote according to your requirements and budget.

Burns Night Menus

Many people and organizations hold a Burns' supper on or around Burns' Night – 25th January. These may be informal or formal, only for men, only for women, or for both genders. Formal events include toasts and readings of pieces written by Robert Burns. Ceremonies during a Burns' Night supper vary according to the group organizing the event and the location.

The evening centers on the entrance of the haggis (a type of sausage made from a sheep's stomach) on a large platter to the sound of a piper playing bagpipes. When the haggis is on the table, the host reads the "Address to a Haggis". This is an ode that Robert Burns wrote to the Scottish dish. At the end of the reading, the haggis is ceremonially sliced into two pieces and the meal begins.

First date dinners

It can be tricky to negotiate the myriad pitfalls that stand between a first date and a second bite of the apple, but a little research goes a long way. It's best to find out whether your date is a committed vegetarian, or tee-total, before we serve up foie gras flambéed in brandy. Likewise, an insight into your date's likes and dislikes can save you both a lot of embarrassment, ill-will and wasted food.

Your date should feel special but not stifled, so subtle dishes done well are the order of the day. A full-on assault of oysters, strawberries and champagne is probably a no-no, but well-presented, lightly flirtatious finger food followed by a lip-smacking main course and a decadent fondue will be a sure-fire hit.
